Thanks to our amazing volunteers, our shops generated £1 million last year. By volunteering your time, you can help raise vital funds towards this target. £25 generated by eBay sales can provide a patient or carer a complementary therapy treatment. A small amount can make a huge difference.
What you’ll be doing
Our eBay workshop is situated on the first floor of our Mapperley Shop. It’s a busy space with new donations coming in and lots of expertly packaged parcels going out every day. Our Online Sales Co-ordinator works with all our shop managers and volunteers across Nottinghamshire.
In this role you’ll:
- Research donated items
- Photograph items to be sold online
- List items on eBay
- Package donations
- Take parcels to the post office
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who can use their own initiative, work independently, show good attention to detail and be a team player. It would also help if you have the following skills and qualities:
- Basic research skills
- Basic photography skills
- Knowledge of eBay processes
- Knowledge of collectibles, antiques, clothing etc
- Reliable, enthusiastic and friendly

Once you’ve expressed your interest, we’ll invite you to come to Mapperley Shop for a Cuppa & Chat to find out about you and your suitability to the role. Suitable volunteers will then work through our in-shop training programme lead by our Community Shop Manager or our Online Sales Co-ordinator.
You’ll need to be aged 18 or over to apply and some roles will require a DBS check prior to you starting, to ensure there is nothing on the record which may make you unsuitable. If a check is needed it will be mentioned when you apply.
